Hearts and Wine – Stamp Carving
Friday, February 1, 6-8pm
Instructor: Hannah Hazel
Enjoy something different on a Friday night! This February event is shortly before Valentine’s Day, and we thought it would be fun to celebrate with a heart theme and a glass of wine. Hannah Hazel of Blue Grama Stamps will be joining us that night for an evening devoted to making rubber stamps. Even simple designs can be remarkably effective, and you’re sure to make someone smile by stamping your finished design on a gift tag, greeting card, or envelope. Hannah makes learning how to create the stamps fun and easy with her clear instructions and the easy-to-use tools she has available for use in class. Create your own design or use one of Hannah’s pre-designed templates. Make something traditional or slightly funky and irreverent – Hannah can help with that! Bring a friend or make a new one.
Please bring the following optional materials:

Cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the first class meeting will be refunded or, at the participant's option, used to pay for another class. Two Hands Paperie will retain a $10 processing fee for EACH class cancelled by a participant. After 14 days, there is no refund or credit. In addition, the fee for a class cancelled within this 14-day timeframe by a participant cannot be transferred to pay for another class. These policies are to ensure that teachers are compensated for their investment in materials and in time spent preparing for the class. We reserve the right to cancel a class if fewer than 3 students enroll 48 hours prior to the scheduled class time. If for any reason Two Hands Paperie cancels a class, students will be called at the phone number on file and refunded the FULL class fee.
A few summers ago, amidst a hectic living situation in a little house with a lot of people, Hannah Hazel sat down at the kitchen table with a carving tool and piece of rubber from a local craft store. She wanted to find some peace by teaching herself something new. A few band-aids and late nights later her newfound skill became an obsession. She couldn't stop! Every free moment outside of her full-time desk job was consumed with honing her carving skills and experimenting with challenging shapes, font types, and more. Hannah listed a few of her stamps on Etsy and they sold almost instantly. The consistently positive feedback from customers made her want to pour her heart and soul into her new craft. She said, “See ya later!” to her desk job, and now carves stamps (and dances around) full time in her backyard studio alongside her best friend Jesse and rescue pup Pepper. She never imagined that her hobby could lead to a wealth of opportunities to work with the local community, creative professionals, small business owners, fellow makers, and gift-givers. The personal connections she’s made with people and businesses around the world continually motivate her as an entrepreneur and artist. Hannah’s motto for her classes: “Bring a friend, make a friend – let the rubber shavings fly!” Visit her website to see more of her work: www.bluegramastamps.com
