Ink & Stem NEW! Class Session One
Saturday, April 14, 10:30-12:30pm
Instructor: Christine Bayles Kortsch
We’re delighted to team up with Christine Bayles Kortsch of the Denver-based company of Ink & Stem. Christine, a self-described homebody with the heart of a gypsy, founded Ink & Stem to help others nourish their creative soul and awaken their senses. Writing and gardening are her twin passions. No surprise, then, that her workshops mix contemplative writing, mindful creativity, play, and container gardening. As a lead-in to summer, Christine is offering two short workshops at Two Hands Paperie. The workshops feature a bit of writing, tea tasting, and the tactile pleasure of planting unique succulents in, what else, a tea cup! We’ll provide a selection of teas and cups for drinking; you provide a small tea cup or other similar-sized container for planting, a notebook for capturing your thoughts, and an open heart. No writing or gardening experience necessary! Christine’s workshops were featured last year in 5280 magazine’s “38 Cool Classes for Adults”.
Check out Ink & Stem Session Two also on Saturday April 14th at 2-4pm if you'd prefer an afternoon class!
Please bring the following materials for class:
- A notebook and pen
- A tea cup for planting (small, like the more traditional tea cups)
- Optional: gardening gloves and apron/smock
- Optional: one or two small accent objects to use for your tea cup garden, such as small shells, stones, weathered pieces of wood, or seed pods. The objects can be anything if they’re small.
Cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the first class meeting will be refunded or, at the participant's option, used to pay for another class. Two Hands Paperie will retain a $10 processing fee for EACH class cancelled by a participant. After 14 days, there is no refund or credit. In addition, the fee for a class cancelled within this 14-day timeframe by a participant cannot be transferred to pay for another class. These policies are to ensure that teachers are compensated for their investment in materials and in time spent preparing for the class. We reserve the right to cancel a class if fewer than 3 students enroll 48 hours prior to the scheduled class time. If for any reason Two Hands Paperie cancels a class, students will be called at the phone number on file and refunded the FULL class fee.
