Product Description

Palomino Blackwing "Volumes" 344 Special Edition Pencil 12 Pack
Eighty years ago photographer Dorothea Lange snapped the "Migrant Mother" photograph that became of one of the most iconic photographs in American history. The latest limited release "Volumes" Palomino Blackwing Pencil celebrates this historic moment. Blackwing Volumes 344 was inspired by the "Migrant Mother" photograph that featured a 32 year old working mother of seven in Nipomo, California in Depression-era America. The image captured in 1936 by Lange while she was working for the Farm Security Administration. It is hailed as a striking example of photography's ability to tell a story and capture emotion. Dorothea Lange left an incredible legacy of photographs, many of which are kept in the Library of Congress LOT 344. LOT 344 was the inspiration for the name of this limited edition "Volumes 344". The look of the pencil was inspired by the darkroom. Each of the 12 pencils features a deep red barrel with a red foil imprint, a bright red ferrule and a black extendable and replaceable eraser.

The "Volumes" 344 Pencils are part of Blackwing's Limited Edition pencil line. Each "Volumes" pencil is inspired by creatives and unique contributions to the world. Palomino Blackwing Pencils are claimed to be the best writing pencil in the world. They are well known for their quality of graphite, iconic shape, replaceable eraser, and the people who use them.
