Watch Tin Diorama – With Lights!
Sunday, February 2nd, noon - 3:30pm
Instructor: Tracy Bellehumeur
Join local artist Tracy Bellehumeur to create a miniature, three-dimensional world inside a watchmaker’s tin. Then light it up! Tracy often works with a woodland theme, but you can choose anything: a family tree, a memento, a small treasure – maybe something wild and crazy just for fun. Come to class with a theme in mind or be inspired by the plethora of found objects and images Tracy provides for your use. She’ll describe how to decorate the watch tin and layer the objects inside. She’ll also show you how to work with a tiny circuit and LED to light up your diorama. One special touch Tracy adds to hers is a typed word or short phrase. So you can make your own small banner, she’ll bring in an old typewriter. Voila! A charming little scene to light up the dark winter days.
Please bring the following materials:

- X-acto knife #11 or disposable scalpels #11. Bring fresh blades.
- Optional: Found objects and images that will fit within the 2.75” watchmaker’s tin. Anything goes if it’s small enough!
- Optional: Apron
