Product Description

Writer Pencil Pack- Curated for National Pencil Day, March 30th, 2021

Each Writer Pencil Pack includes 7 pencils + info card. Here is what is included:

BLACKWING NATURAL
How could we not include the pencil of all pencils, a Blackwing. The iconic rectangular eraser stands out style wise and furthermore, unlike any of the other pencils in our pack, the eraser can be replaced! The Blackwing was made famous by Chuck Jones who used it to sketch Bugs Bunny. This is one of the rare times that we will see a Blackwing as a single, they are always meant to be sold in a box of 12- making the sets a collectors item as well.

SOCIAL HB BEGOODY (ASSORTED COLORS)
Not going to lie, we included this pencil strictly based on looks. A Japanese beauty that comes finished with a removable cap of brass instead of an eraser (in case you want to take advantage of both ends). A Two Hands Paperie staff favorite!

MITSUBISHI 9850, HB
This pencil has a dark core which produces smooth dark lines and sharpens well in a hand sharpener. A good looking pencil with a red brick lacquer exterior. It also has amazing point durability and a high quality eraser. Crafted meticulously, with straight wood barrels and perfectly centered graphite cores. An exceptional pencil at an affordable price, this tool will appeal to the everyday writer.

UNI MITSUBISHI 9800, 2B
A high quality pencil used throughout schools in Japan for everyday writing and test taking. Like all Mitsubishi pencils, it is known for having a smooth and strong writing experience due to its matured micro graphite lead. Sanded on both ends, this pencil is all business and no eraser. People who want to express themselves artistically use soft pencils of hardness grades 2B to 8B. Being that this is 2B, it is on the less soft end but you can still use them to create expressive drawings with contrast.

MUSGRAVE HARVEST, #2
The Musgraves Company is based in Shelbyville, Tennessee - once known as Pencil City USA. It is the only remaining pencil factory but it is still producing classic pencils like the Harvest #2. A good looking pencil with small details like the red stripe on the ferrule. What’s a ferrule you ask? The crimped piece of metal connecting the pencil shaft to the eraser. If you like point retention and smoothness but hate smearing, this is your pencil.

MUSGRAVE TEST SCORING 100
A ready for work full-hex pencil. Terms like “full-hex” and “semi-hex” relate to the rigidness of the hexagonal body. They are less likely to roll off a table and allow the user to find a proper grip anywhere on the pencil. This pencil also features an electro graphite core that is specially designed by test scanners. The lead is exceptionally smooth and dark which makes it a popular choice for someone about to sit down for a full day of writing or, of course, test taking. Extra points for style due to the retro look.

MUSGRAVE 600 NEWS
Some of you may not remember filling out crosswords in the Newspaper, but that is exactly what the creators had in mind when they developed this pencil. Featuring a normal sized round body with an oversized super soft core, it dances a fine line between a writing pencil and a drawing pencil. Be careful not to let it roll off the table because the core will break (something common of any pencil with a larger core).

FABER-CASTELL PITT GRAPHITE WOODLESS HB
Pure, finely milled graphite contained within a protective coating instead of wood, this tool has unparalleled possibilities for spontaneous expression. The feature of all lead makes this tool heavy - which can be a satisfying contrast to wood pencils and give a good hand feel. Even though this is a pack mostly for every day writing pencils, we had to include this HB because how often do you get pencil lead not encased in wood?
