Zentangle® – An Introductory Class ONLINE
Wednesday, September 30,10am-Noon MDT
Instructor: Annie Reiser
Limit: 12 students. Includes class kit + shipping
Learn how to create intricate designs from simple pen strokes with Zentangle®, a meditative drawing technique. If you can make a dot, a straight line, a curved line, and a circle you have all the skills you need - easy peasey! Annie Reiser, a certified Zentangle® teacher and an art instructor at the Denver Botanic Gardens, takes delight in introducing others to this meditative practice of mindful drawing. Completed designs look complicated, but they’re easy to create if taken one stroke at a time. Annie has selected some beginning tangle patterns that you’ll practice and combine in your own way to make a small piece of art. Paradoxically, this structured approach to drawing actually inspires creativity, yielding a result that transcends the technique. The number of ways Annie uses Zentangle® in her art is astonishing. She’s painted the walls of her studio, decorated a two-foot tall sculpture, and created beautiful botanic prints, all with tangle patterns. The technique is incredibly versatile!
