We're Hiring! Assistant Store Manager

Who We Are:
Two Hands Paperie is a fast-paced retail establishment specializing in decorative papers, stationery, writing instruments, art supplies and an eclectic selection of gifts. We are located on the West End of Boulder’s Pearl Street. We have been a fixture on Pearl for close to 30 years; promoting all things analog and tactile, with a hands-on creative approach. We have become a destination for locals and visitors from around the country and the world alike. Our motto is “Make things with your own two hands”.

Who We Are Looking For:
We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Manager specializing in Merchandising and Marketing who has a passion for notebooks, pens, stationery, and craft supplies. The Assistant Merchandising and Marketing Manager will represent the mission, vision, and values of Two Hands Paperie, and successfully aid the Store Manager with managing all aspects of the Brand: maintaining the look, feel and overall environment of the store that people have come to expect.

  • Our ideal candidate has supervisory experience in a retail sales environment
  • Merchandising with an emphasis on creative store and window display
  • Marketing experience on social media platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of POS systems, general retail practices and procedures
  • Deep orientation toward a high level of customer focus and care
  • Ability to effectively lead, inspire, motivate, direct, coach and train team members in a retail setting
  • Must be creative, efficient, personable, and calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Passion for all things craft, community, and the creative process
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work extended hours and cover shifts when needed.  Sunday coverage is a must, as well as, holidays, opening and closing shifts and being available during the busy winter season (November through January).

Duties and Responsibilities 
The Merchandising and Marketing Manager will be responsible for many aspects of management here at Two Hands Paperie, including helping to lead and delegate duties to team members, as well as overseeing new employee orientation and training. This position has a focus on intensive face-to-face customer care and support, creating and implementing in-store displays, product presentation, merchandising, and marketing.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Create and oversee in-store events, promotions, marketing programs and donations, including social media posts
  • Assist the Store Manager with interviewing and hiring, as well as implementing employee incentives and sales goals
  • Ordering and receiving merchandise
  • Security and loss prevention
  • Maintain impeccable Two Hands Paperie atmosphere through maintenance, cleaning, organization, merchandising, fixturing, lighting and music
