Class Details
What if you could have the creative adventure of travel without leaving Boulder? Join Cynthia Morris on a fun art journaling adventure. You'll learn several techniques to quickly and easily fill pages of your sketchbook with words, images and memories that will inspire you forever.
Capture the Wow offers a set of tools to make it easy to keep a travel sketchbook both at home and on faraway adventures. You’ll free yourself to be messy and playful, and you’ll discover how keeping an illustrated journal can enrich your life. No experience or artistic skill is required. Just show up with curiosity, a sense of fun, and a willingness to play!
Capture the Wow isn’t about doing ‘good art’ or making pretty journal pages you can show off. It’s about being present to the wonders of the world around us, and capturing those glittering moments in our journals.
You’ll meet up with Cynthia at Two Hands Paperie before embarking on a guided walking workshop in Boulder. We'll pass by the library, the Boulder Creek, the Farmer's Market and will end at Two Hands Paperie.
Cynthia loves to travel and she loves to journal. No surprise, then, that she has a small library of journals she’s created that are just bursting with color, drawings, and her experiences. We love her journals from faraway places (Paris and Lisbon are favorite destinations), but we’re particularly struck by the ones that capture her everyday adventures.
This class coincides with the launch of Cynthia's newest book, Her Lisbon Colors, taking place on Monday, June 9, 6:00pm at Two Hands Paperie.
An email will be sent to participants the Monday before the class. Classes with homework may receive pre-class info earlier. No email?
