Each garland features a variety of decorative Lokta papers combined to make each garland unique. All elements of the garland are made by hand by a women's cooperative in Nepal. The women cut and assemble each element of the garlands body and sews them together into an approximately 6 foot long garland. The Lokta paper is made using bark of the Daphne plant that is harvested while the plant remains alive. Then the bark is formed into sheets and hand screen printed. We definitely believe in the Unicorn Paper Garland.
