Available in black, chocolate brown, light tan, red and NOW IN BLUE! Edges are beautifully marbled, leather thong wraps journal flap to secure it closed. There are 416 cream-laid, unlined pages (208 sheets). This is a thick journal- a commitment for some of us, but a welcome receptacle for those whose writing flows. 

 
Please note- the Roma Lussa is not a fountain pen friendly journals. It works best with ballpoint, rollerball, and pencil.

Worth the Indulgence

I've used the Cavallini day planner for years and I've always thought, "I love the way this paper feels. I wish I could find a journal with the same paper."

The Cavallini Roma Lussa is everything I ever wanted from a journal, but I read the description that it's not good for fountain pens, so I hesitated to buy it because I don't journal without my Kaweco Sport EF. But you only live once, so I splurged and bought the Roma Lussa anyway. I can say that the paper is exactly what I love about the Cavallini day planner. It's perfect for the extra fine nib and caramel brown ink. I feel like DaVinci when I write. The book doesn't lie flat when I write, but I'm hoping the spine will start to wear as I go through the pages. The ink doesn't show through the pages.

If you were hesitant to buy this journal because you love using fountain pens, here's your sign to buy it anyway.
