Going to the woods is going home."- John Muir If John Muir's tidings speaks to your being, the Woodcut Notecards are for you. These notecards feature prints from artist Bryan Nash Grill. Grill collects lumber from around his studio and carefully prints the cross-sections of the trees. Some of the prints are colored to reveal the intricate lines of the tree rings. The results is a breathtaking homage to the complex aspects of nature, as well as a reminder of the historic nature of grand trees. Six designs, printed twice each, result in twelve folded cards, paired with twelve envelopes. Folded cards measure 5 1/8 by 5 1/8 inches and fit in brown craft envelopes that measure 5 2/8 by 6 1/2 inches. The set comes in a keepsake box that measures 5 1/4 by 6 1/2 by 1 3/4 inches.
