Kum Automatic Long Point 3 Pencil Sharpener

These sharpeners are among the best in the world. They work in a two step process, first sharpening the wood of the pencil, then the lead, using two different sharpening blades. 

The AS3 is equipped with KUM high-carbon tempered steel blades rated the hardest that can be manufactured without being too brittle. The hard steel can be sharpened better and it stays sharp longer. Each sharpener also includes two spare blades located in a groove at the back of the sharpener. Use a small screwdriver to slide them out of the groove and screw them on. If you find yourself using an H3 pencil (U.S.A. #4) or harder, the sharpener blades will slowly get dull. More spare blades may be always be ordered from KUM.

Though the function of these sharpener is grand, their size is not. They are the perfect size to take on the go, with your sketchpad or leather travel journal to record your adventures. Made in Germany.
